Project Goal
Create a simple and comprehensive tablet application that helps people suffering from TMD better understand their condition and manage their symptoms.
WHAT IS TMD | TMJ?
Problems with the jaw joint and the muscles in your face that control it are known as Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD). These disorders are categorized by pain and compromised movement of the jaw joint and the surrounding muscles. The TemporomandibularJoint (TMJ) is the hinge that connects the jaw to the temporal bones of the skull and allows the jaw to move so you can talk, chew, and yawn.
ABOUT THE APPLICATION
This interactive tablet experience teaches users what TMD is, where the TMJ is located and how the joint works through the use of an interactive model. People suffering from TMD can learn the symptoms, causes and treatment options for jaw disorders and find tips about how to better manage their symptoms.
